Purpose and Scope of the Job
Green Future is a Greenpeace Taiwan project dedicated to engaging and inspiring young people to learn about climate change and other environmental issues. The initiative aims to empower the next generation to conserve our planet while developing their leadership potential. It involves creating an interactive blend of online and offline programs tailored for school students and educators, offering practical experiences, training, and adaptable courses. The goal is to guide learners through stories about climate change and the global environmental crisis, delivering engaging learning experiences through a series of well-designed materials.
The Project Leader will lead a small team to coordinate digital and offline content for its target audiences, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.
This position works closely with the Engagement Team within the FRE Department and reports to the Deputy Fundraising & Engagement Director or a designated leader.
Project Management
● Lead and enhance the Green Future program, covering both online and offline components.
● Direct the development of the program and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
● Coordinate cross-departmental input for content creation and project design.
● Set, communicate, and achieve annual project goals with internal teams and external partners.
Implementation
● Introduce and promote new initiatives within the Green Future project, focusing on climate emergencies and other environmental issues within the Taiwanese school community.
● Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders involved in the Green Future program.
● Collaborate with the content writer to design educational materials that meet the needs of the target audience.
● Work with the Green Future Coordinator to enhance the website, analyze audience data, and facilitate educational events such as teacher workshops or webinars.
● Deliver impactful public engagement events and talks for students, teachers, and various educational communities.
● Develop clear evaluation indicators to measure the program’s effectiveness, efficiency, and overall outcomes
Job responsibilities
● Lead, manage, and oversee the successful implementation of the Green Future project (L3-L4).
● Set and achieve annual project goals, ensuring effective communication with all relevant stakeholders (L1-L4).
● Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration in content development and project design (L3-L4).
● Develop strategies to attract and engage more supporters, while enhancing the supporter experience (L1-L4).
● Ensure the creation of high-quality content that maximizes impact, grows the supporter base, and fosters long-term relationships (L3-L4).
● Provide leadership within the Green Future team and maintain close coordination with the Engagement Team (L3-L4).
● Website Maintenance and Enhancement: Lead the improvement of Green Future Academy’s e-learning tools for teachers and school students, ensuring the website’s quality and steadily growing its user base (L3-L4).
● Content Production: Oversee the creation of engaging and relevant educational content (L1-L4).
● Educational Community Network: Play a pivotal role in maintaining existing audiences and attracting new ones through effective communication and engagement strategies (L1-L4).
● Data Analysis: Analyze audience data to gain insights and improve engagement strategies (L1-L4).
● Quality Events: Deliver impactful public engagement events and presentations for schools and related communities (L1-L4).
● Project Management: Ensure strong performance across all project outcomes, including digital and offline engagement, community relations, feedback mechanisms, and collaboration skills. The Project Leader's role will focus on achieving both metric-driven and impact-driven goals to maximize the Green Future project's success (L3-L4).
Competencies Profile
Skills and Expertise required
Proven track of records or familiarity in at least one of the following:
● 5+ years of experience working in climate change, environmental sectors, or within the education system.
● Strong cross-departmental coordination skills with a proven ability to lead collaborative projects.
● In-depth knowledge of the Taiwanese educational system and community engagement.
● Extensive project management experience, particularly in educational or environmental programs.
● Expertise in climate-related topics, including climate emergencies, net zero strategies, and relevant environmental campaigns.
● Successful track record in creating audience-centric projects that drive engagement and impact.
● Proven data analysis skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
● Demonstrated experience in developing both online and offline educational programs.
● Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships and collaboration.
● Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
● Strong negotiation skills, with experience managing internal and external stakeholders
Specific Work Environment
● This position works in a standard office environment and is required to travel to other Greenpeace offices to meet the target audience and internal stakeholders when necessary.
● This position may be required to work under pressure, both physically and mentally.
● This position is likely to be regularly working outside of the office environment to network and visit stakeholders (such as schools)
