JOB DESCRIPTION
Green Future is a Greenpeace project aiming to engage with and inspire the young generation to learn more about climate change (and other environmental issues), and then to conserve our planet and to develop their leadership potential. We aim to develop an interactive online-and-offline program to work with high school students, providing practical experiences and adaptable courses. The purpose is to guide learners through a journey of stories about our climate and its global emergency. The program offers a series of learning materials that involves learners in a more engaging experience on climate issues.
Overall purpose of the job
- Focus on the development and maintenance of e-learning tools, which has its target audiences as middle school students. In order to make the program successful, he/she will be responsible for enhancing the quality of the e-tools and for continuously increasing its audience pool by data analysis and audience research.
- Design and implement strategies to mobilize new supporters to strengthen the Green Future connection, while also constructing engaging supporter journeys to build supporter leadership in a campaign.
- Work with Green Future content writers for high-quality, high-impact content for a variety of Green Future materials users,to maximise new and existing supporters and to ensure long-term relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- General Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve the Green Future e-learning tools according to the Green Future audiences need.
- Closely work with the project leader to ensure the success of the project
- Implementation
- Develop and enhance the Green Future Academy website
- Work with vendors, consultants and contractors to help implement any proposed Green Future engagement plans.
- Research and develop various digital e-learning tools
- Data analysis and Customer research for understanding our audiences and the effectiveness of each module
- Ensure all communication and digital strategies aligns with the objectives of the overarching digital and engagement strategies
- Manage various online social communities and be constantly monitoring participant data and other engagement trends to ensure the project is operating as optimally as possible in those environments
- Deep engagement and connection with audiences through online/offline events
- Liaise and build a network with the relevant stakeholders for the Green Futures Project
- Follow evaluation indicators that reflect and measure effectiveness, efficiency, and any other outcomes of the program.
- Support/ Coaching/ Leadership
- Work closely with Green Future Content Writer for high content quality control and for better module effectiveness
- Help coordinate and participate in Green Future online/offline activities:
- Enthusiastically and effectively work with the Green Future team for successful Green Future engagement events/activities.
- Source publications and production materials where necessary and ensure the projects are environmentally sound in terms of paper procurement, and third party guidelines.
- Support the Greenpeace East Asia office for various youth and educational related events
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of and/or experience in developing digital learning tools (e.g.: website, apps..ect)
- Knowledge of using digital analytical tools (e.g.: audience analysis, message testing and surveys)
- Digital e-learning tools planning and adoption of new digital tactics;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Strong communicator, with excellent Chinese and English written & speaking skills.
- Team player and looking to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Highly organized, with strong attention to details
- Able to juggle multiple deadlines, prioritizing effectively and meeting tight deadlines with high-quality products
- Self-starter and problem solver; able to proactively get projects off the ground from concept to highly polished final product on a deadline
- Demonstrated commitment to environment issues and high level of Greenpeace campaign knowledge on current projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and/or experience in website design, and/or image design
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position works in a standard office environment and is required to travel to others. Normal hours of work for full-time Employees will be 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), between the hours of 9.30 am to 6:00 pm, including an hour of lunch break. Ordinary hours of work may be varied as agreed between staff and the line managers.
