Purpose and Scope of the Job

The role is mainly focused on designing creative concepts & visual materials for Greenpeace East Asia. The responsibility of this position is taking the primary lead in the visual design of high impact direct marketing initiatives for Greenpeace East Asia’s campaign with the ultimate goal of reaching new supporter targets that allow the organization to reach its campaign and organizational objectives. 


Graphic designer supports a variety of functions including the development of specific visual products and creative messaging for Greenpeace campaign projects. This position will also be responsible for the evaluation of their visual efforts and report back the impact of these efforts on the organization’s brand value.

Job responsibilities

Conceptual tasks, Strategy development and/or Project management

● Develop, design and implement a diversity of campaign initiatives to maximize increasing awareness of the public.
● In consultation with the Communication Manager define the campaign marketing themes and review output against objectives on a monthly basis.
● Develop the visual guidelines for Greenpeace and related campaigns
● Manage and maintain visual outputs


● To design the digital report for the Greenpeace campaign.
● Make creative content and overall production for social media marketing which fits for the various guidelines from the platforms
● Manage quality control of visual materials when they were outsourced by external agency
● Advise content strategy, and style guides for the campaign


● In collaboration with the Program team staff, advise the concept of visual materials.

Compliance/Keeping Framework Conditions

● Produce regular visual outputs
● Work with other departments in Greenpeace East Asia on an as-needed basis.
● Ensure that Greenpeace identity and visual guidelines are adhered to and implemented.
● Advise proactively in the development of standardized guidelines and online tools in line with the best industry practices.

Skills and Expertise required

● Professional knowledge of graphic design tools
● Good communication skills
● Basic knowledge of HTML5

Specific Work Environment

Be on call after hours and on weekends as requested.
The position may be required to work under pressure and in physically or mentally challenging situations.
The position works in a standard office environment, and is required to travel to other Greenpeace offices, campaign locations or locations where environmental problems require the presence of Greenpeace representatives.
