Core duties
- Digital Strategy & Roadmap – Lead the development and execution of GPEA’s web & digital strategy, optimizing websites, donation funnels, and digital touchpoints to maximize supporter engagement and fundraising impact.
- Product Ownership & Project Management – Manage cross-functional projects, prioritize requirements and deliverables, and ensure high-quality, timely web & digital solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Team Leadership & Coaching – Lead and mentor a regional team of UI/UX, web developers, fostering collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving culture.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement – Collaborate with internal fundraising/marketing/data teams and external vendors to align digital initiatives with supporter experience goals and campaign outcomes.
- Data Insights & Optimization – Deliver performance analytics, funnel optimization insights, and digital best practices to senior management; oversee budget and resource management where applicable
Desired Skills and Experiences
- A problem solver and critical thinker with a keen interest in digital marketing and technology
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Proficiency in additional languages such as Korean, Mandarin Chinese, or Cantonese Chinese is a plus but not mandatory.
- Background in technology with business acumen. Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, web development, or project management related roles.
- A leader with interpersonal skills and relationship-building, who can influence teams to collaborate
- Knowledge of digital marketing, including web analytics, CRO, SEO, A/B testing

Purpose and Scope of the Job
Greenpeace East Asia (GPEA) is a leading environmental campaigning organisation. It works with supporters in East Asia and globally to tackle the most crucial environmental crises affecting the region and the world. Greenpeace's effectiveness is in its ability to engage supporters with key environmental battles, inspiring them to take action to make the world more sustainable.
As part of the Data & Digital team within the Fundraising & Engagement (FR&E) department, the Product Owner (Web & Digital) will enable the organisation to scale up its digital presence to ultimately achieve its ambition of building a leading digital channel within the Greenpeace global community and also in the non-profit sector. This role will be pivotal in driving GPEA’s web & digital strategy and enhancing the overall digital experience for its supporters.
This role will:

lead the strategic development and optimization of Greenpeace East Asia's official homepage, petition pages, donation funnels, and other related digital platforms to maximize supporter engagement and conversion rates.

work closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and technology teams to ensure timely and high-quality web & digital deliverables.

lead and manage a cross-functional, regional team of UI/UX researchers, web developers, and solution architects.

produce analytical insights and recommendations to senior management on web & digital performance, optimization and system improvements etc.

drive comprehensive digital strategies and take ownership of web and omnichannel digital touchpoints across the region, directly connecting technical solutions to campaign outcomes.

engage in new digital / tech initiatives that aim to improve supporter experience via deployment of the latest available technology.
Job responsibilities
Strategy and Planning

build effective funnel strategy with local teams to drive meaningful traffic to GPEA website while maximising the lead capture and / or donation potential by providing engaging content and optimised user experience.

(L3 & L4) develop and execute the web and digital roadmap that create fundraising impacts by bringing new features and functionalities to provide better digital experience for GPEA supporters.

(L3 & L4) be on top of industrial trends, adopt new technology solutions and best practices into operations.
Product Ownership and Project Management

project manage and collaborate with cross functional teams on solution requirements, prioritise timeline and deliverables.

(L3 & L4) ensure the web and other digital fundraising touchpoints expresses GPEA’s mission to deliver seamless digital experiences for supporters.
Competencies Profile
Skills and Expertise required

Bachelor or Master’s degree in the relevant discipline.

Digitally literate and have a strong passion for digital technology.

Strong team management and communication skills, with a demonstrated track record in project management (e.g. Digital Project Lifecycle Management) or digital transformation projects.

Creative thinker with a belief and determination to solve complex problems.

A data-driven and user-centric mindset, proficient in analyzing data and leveraging insights to inform decisions.

Experience in vendor management, specifically in supervising technical contractors and managing relationships with agencies.

Knowledge of web analytics tools and digital marketing, such as Goolge Analytics, A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and SEO, is preferred.

Hands-on experience in front-end programming or web design is preferred.

Experience with environmental campaign digital strategy is preferred.
