Purpose and Scope of the Job

The Donor Acquisition Manager is a key post within the Fundraising & Engagement team. The post holder will be responsible for all donor acquisition activities in our South Korea market, with a focus on recruiting new regular giving supporters through digital fundraising, lead conversion, DRTV and other fundraising channels. 

In addition they will be expected to identify and develop new opportunities for donor recruitment, which includes innovation within the current channels and exploring new channels. 


This is a results-oriented position focused on supporting the teams to maximise new donor recruitment results. This will be achieved by implementing the right recruitment strategy, digital design and ambition. The role is a management role, and it will work in project teams when applicable. 

Job responsibilities


  • Develop and manage all acquisition plans across the South Korea Individual Giving program
  • Manage the acquisition team in a professional way
  • Oversee budgets and expenditure to meet fundraising strategic objectives and targets
  • Build and develop successful partnerships with external suppliers and manage their performance
  • Ensure all content is of high quality, are relevant to the organisation, and timely
  • Monitor monthly income and expenditure across the Acquisition programme, making sure information is accurate and reconciled where necessary.
  • To be the first point of contact for any complaints relating to activity carried out by fundraisers acting on our behalf. To follow the fundraising complaints process and procedure and liaise with the relevant TFR fundraising agency
  • Develop training materials in order to deliver engaging and motivating training to our TFR agency fundraisers
  • Work closely with the database and finance teams to ensure that all data and income generated through acquisition activity is recorded in an accurate and timely manner. 

Analysis & Development

  • Look at strategies for acquisition across multiple channels including Lead Conversion, Digital fundraising, and DRTV
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on all suppliers and ensuring best practice across the program
  • Ensure the supporter journey for all newly acquired supporters is effective and meeting agreed KPI’s
  • Provide regular reviews, analysis, and reports against program objectives to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Develop innovative and best practice strategy, plans and tactics across acquisition to grow the program
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting on key metrics such as attrition and channel ROI
  • Identify, research and develop business cases for new opportunities to recruit long term supporters.
  • Monitor and evaluate all acquisition activity and make recommendations to improve future activity and feed into longer term strategic plans.
  • Be pro-active in undertaking regular competitor reviews, in contributing to product development and innovation, and in attending fundraising networking groups

Other Duties

  • Keep abreast of all developments in direct marketing fundraising legislation and regulation as well as Data Protection
  • Keep up to date with sector trends and market developments
  • Participate in relevant project groups as directed by the Fundraising & Engagement Director

Skills and Expertise required

  • Experience working across a multi-channel acquisition program
  • Experience across channels such as regular giving, TFR and digital
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage campaigns end to end
  • Supplier management experience
  • Background in data-driven fundraising with proven knowledge of data segmentation and targeting of specific audiences
  • Reporting and post-campaign analysis experience
  • High standard of numeracy, budgeting, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Highly developed written skills, with demonstrated attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Specific Work Environment

The position is based in Seoul and will require the successful candidate to work from the office. Greenpeace East Asia has a flexible working policy and is a family friendly place to work.
